C. Fitz is an award-winning Film and TV Director with a background as a Creative Director and Executive Producer. Based in LA, her iconic work spans across networks and brands including Disney, Netflix, HBO MAX, McDonald’s, and recently the Olympics, winning a Bronze in advertising for Best Commercial campaign.
​
Her credits include developing and producing the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy series, and directing not only on the acclaimed drama Queen Sugar on OWN but also directing the first season of HBO Max’s One Perfect Shot. Her Netflix premiere documentary Jewel’s Catch One immortalized American’s oldest Black-owned disco in a celebrated international festival run before its Netflix debut.
Fitz is currently prepping her first feature - a socially conscious horror flick she wrote with Ashley Bell attached.

​
C. Fitz is an award-winning Film and TV Director with a background as a Creative Director and Executive Producer. Known for her cinematic visual style and performance-driven storytelling, Fitz is based in LA and works across scripted television, film, documentary, and high-profile commercial campaigns.
​
In the commercial and branded space, Fitz is a sought-after director and creative director whose campaigns for major brands including DISNEY, OLYMPICS (LA28), PEPSI, MCDONALD'S, and SHOWTIME have earned industry recognition. Most recently, she directed and served as Creative Director on a 2026 WINTER OLYMPICS campaign featuring U.S. downhill skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle. The commercial won an advertising Bronze Medal from STATE OF STREAMING, ranking among the Top 3 Olympic commercials of Opening Weekend, and was also selected to ADWEEK’s Top 15 commercials of the 2026 Winter Olympics, positioning the campaign among the most recognized advertising works of the Games.​​​

Her television directing credits run deep including the acclaimed drama series QUEEN SUGAR, produced by Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay, and the innovative HBO MAX series ONE PERFECT SHOT, where she directed the entire first season exploring iconic cinematic moments with directors including Michael Mann, Patty Jenkins, Malcolm Lee and Jon M. Chu.

​Fitz’s visual style blends cinematic composition, tone, and atmosphere to create immersive worlds that feel both intimate and expansive. She is known for building strong connections with talent, creating a space where authentic and emotionally layered performances emerge, often captured through expressive close-ups and carefully composed frames. With extensive experience leading post-production, Fitz approaches each project with a director’s eye from development through delivery.

Fitz also directed and produced the feature documentary JEWEL'S CATCH ONE, which chronicles the legendary Los Angeles nightclub, the oldest Black owned Disco in America. The film premiered internationally at the BFI London Film Festival and around the world to award-winning acclaim before making its NETFLIX debut.

Earlier in her career, Fitz played a key role in launching the groundbreaking Bravo series QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY as a development executive and producer. She later co-developed and served as showrunner for the ABC Family series KNOCK FIRST, overseeing 104 episodes across five seasons, as well as created and showran the fashion-forward series XCESS/ACCESS.

Originally trained as a journalist and honored with the Society of Professional Journalists’ Excellence in Journalism Award, Fitz brings a strong narrative sensibility to every project she directs. Over the course of her career she has produced and directed hundreds of commercial campaigns, continually refining her craft while exploring emerging AI admin technologies to improve workflows.

She is currently developing her first scripted horror feature which has secured talent attachments and several documentary projects while continuing to direct television, features, and global brand campaigns.
